Gloria is a freelance violinist and violin teacher with a Master’s Degree in Violin Performance and a Bachelor of Music degree in Music Theory from the Cleveland Institute of Music.
She has an enormous passion for teaching and welcomes both beginner and advanced students who are interested in the violin to study with her.
Lessons are conducted in my home studio located near Ubi MRT Station (Downtown Line), opposite Maha Bodhi Primary School.

“Gloria is patient and connects well with children. She has played a significant role in Evangeline’s musicianship development. Gloria approaches violin education in a holistic manner, focusing on not just instrument mastery but also theory, aural skills and music appreciation. Additionally, she pays close attention to posture, including a good violin and bow hold – fundamentals which cannot be overlooked in the violin learning journey. All these facets form the crucial foundation that supports further and deeper learning of the violin. She’s a gem!”
– Michelle, mother of Evangeline (aged 7)
“Teacher Gloria was my first violin teacher, and she’s really sparked my love for music with her cheerful nature. For me, violin was not an easy instrument to pick up as a teenager, but she kept me interested through fun, engaging classes and inspired me to continue!”
– Joey (aged 15)
“Gloria is a really nice and patient teacher. She will try different ways to help out with what you are having difficulties in and she will push you to more advanced pieces or techniques if she believes you are ready for it! She even plays the piano accompaniment part to train students how to play along with an accompanist. I always have an enjoyable time during lessons.”
– Joyce (20s)
“Teacher Gloria is patient, understanding and experienced. She is very knowledgeable in violin, theory, and application of technique. She teaches me violin step by step even though my pace is slower. Teacher Gloria guides me slowly from one piece to another and does not rush. She teaches me many useful techniques about playing the violin, holding the violin and violin bow correctly and how to apply it correctly. She teaches me how to have a good violin sound, and uses simple analogies so that it is easy for me to process, absorb and understand how to do them.”
– Nigel (20s)
